Makes visible what is at work in a team.

Making leadership and teams more effective, because they understand themselves. Team and leadership-team development with Insights Discovery®: the tool makes invisible patterns visible: who ticks how, how they communicate, how they react under pressure. Leaders recognize their own pattern and their team's; teams gain a shared language for it. The basis for psychological safety, and everything that comes after.

The problem

A team on paper.
Lone fighters in reality.

Regardless of composition and hierarchy level, teams and their leaders often stay below their potential: not up to rising demands, no real unit. Friction losses and a lack of ownership shape daily work, entirely independent of education, diversity and tenure. What is often missing is psychological safety. A proven way to build it and become more effective as a team is Insights Discovery®.

Typical scenarios where we recommend Insights Discovery®:

What Insights Discovery® is

Four colors, eight types, one team wheel.

Insights makes personality preferences visible, through four base preferences whose combinations yield eight types. The team wheel shows the whole team at a glance: who stands where, where it rubs, where it complements. Nobody “is one color”: everyone carries all four energies; the order makes the difference. No pigeonholing, but a shared, appreciative language.

A sample team wheel: every person located, with the color preferences at a glance.
Cool Blue
Observing & preserving
Precise, factual, thorough. Wants to understand first, then act, and asks the questions others skip.
Fiery Red
Deciding & driving
Determined, direct, fast. Wants results and gets things moving while others are still weighing options.
Sunshine Yellow
Inspiring & connecting
Open, full of ideas, quick to connect. Wins people over, creates energy and thinks out loud in possibilities.
Earth Green
Understanding & holding together
Patient, loyal, appreciative. Holds the team together, listens, and makes sure nobody gets lost.

Our added value is the translation into daily work.

A team wheel on the wall changes nothing. We take the colors to where it counts: into the next feedback conversation, into the next conflict, into the way a leader reaches each individual. And we stay with it until the team speaks this language on its own.

How we work

Three steps to better team performance.

01
Self-analysis
For all gears to mesh like a well-oiled machine, self-analysis comes first for every team member and the team lead: Which kinds of tasks suit me, which less so? What kind of communication fits me? What signals do I send under stress? In individual, confidential sessions with our specially trained Insights coaches, each team member gets to know their personal profile, including the reasons behind successful and failed interactions. The “problem zones of collaboration” get named here already.
02
Insights team workshop
After the self-analysis, team, team lead and coach meet for the team workshop. The team wheel is built from the profiles beforehand; team members are welcome to guess each other's positions before it is “unveiled”. Each team member decides individually how much of their own profile to share. Insights Discovery® serves as the platform here: often team members say for the first time what matters to them and how they want to communicate. The “problem zones of collaboration” get uncovered, and the basis for more effective collaboration is laid.
03
Psychological safety
After the workshop, participants look at the team's interactions in a fundamentally different way. The team wheel becomes a constant companion in daily work: when timelines slip or results fall short, the new view of the team opens the conversation. The leader can see which team member needs which approach, and the team in turn can ask for the leadership each person needs. In short: with type-appropriate communication, high trust meets high standards.

With us it does not feel like work, but it is: hard, honest and with a guaranteed good result.

Beyond the tool

The silence becomes a mind map.

With Insights or without, the start is always the same goal for us: one single, honest picture of the “problem zones of collaboration”: what really catches in the team. Collected anonymously and in writing, the individual voices get condensed into a mind-map diagnosis, and that becomes the agenda of the workshop that follows.

Collected anonymously

Every voice counts equally. Nobody has to expose themselves in front of the team to say what is really going on.

Patterns, not culprits

We condense individual statements into themes. What becomes visible is the system of collaboration, not a scapegoat.

The real lever

Loud symptoms and quiet causes sit side by side. We name where change really has to start.

The goal with Insights

Out of the comfort and fear zones, into the learning zone.

Insights is the tool, not the goal. Whoever understands their own color language and that of others approaches people more easily, and that builds psychological safety: a work environment safe enough for interpersonal risk-taking. Combined with high performance standards, that takes a team into the learning and performance zone, and that is exactly where we work towards.

  • Comfort zone — safe but undemanding. People feel at ease, but nobody outgrows themselves.
  • Apathy zone — neither safety nor standards. Working to rule, quiet quitting.
  • Fear zone — high standards without safety. Mistakes get hidden because they were punished; problems rather stay unspoken.
  • Learning & performance zone — high safety and high standards. This is where teams wrestle honestly and truly deliver.

Frequently asked

Good to know.

What is Insights Discovery®?
A globally established model that makes communication and behavioral preferences visible through four color energies. Teams gain a shared language and an understanding of collaboration patterns, feedback and conflict.
How does an Insights workshop run?
Everyone fills in a short questionnaire beforehand and receives a personal profile. In the workshop the results go into the team wheel; proven exercises deepen the insights. What matters is the link to real daily work: we work on site on the actual challenges at hand.
How much time does it take?
The questionnaire takes 20 to 30 minutes beforehand, the workshop 1.5 to 2 days. Shorter formats exist too: one day, or a two-hour digital impulse on the profiles. The shorter the format, the more transfer work remains with leader and team. In our experience, 1.5 days is the most effective dose.
For individual leaders or entire teams?
Usually entire teams. Some leaders use the profile for themselves first: for their own impact and the way they reach each individual. Often a leader brings experience with personality profiles from an earlier role, and it grows into the team from there.
Who sees my profile?
The profile belongs to the person, not the employer. Only what each person chooses to share gets shared. In practice the exchange is explicitly encouraged and experienced as valuable. Still: everything optional, nothing required.
How scientifically sound is it?
Insights Discovery® builds on C. G. Jung's preference typology and is continuously validated psychometrically. The framing matters: a preference model, not an aptitude model. It measures no performance and sorts nobody into better or worse; it makes differences discussable and usable.
Is training as an Insights practitioner possible too?
Yes. Companies that want to use Insights Discovery® permanently in-house can have people trained as Licensed Practitioners. As a Licensed Distributor we pass on better conditions. Just ask us directly.
